New Delhi, April 7: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) hiked the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per kilogramme on Thursday.
In just six days, the whole cost has risen to Rs 9.10 per kg. According to information posted on the website of IGL, which sells CNG and piped cooking gas in Delhi and the surrounding areas, CNG will now cost Rs 69.11 per kg in the national capital with effect from today.

The increase follows the government’s April 1 decision to more than double natural gas prices to $6.1 per million British thermal units.
On March 22, a 137-day delay in petrol and diesel price revisions came to an end. In the national capital, the price of a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder was raised to Rs 949.50 on the same day. LPG prices have surpassed Rs 1,000 in several areas.
