Compost Machines To Be Installed In 14 Jails Of Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Home, Jail, and Disaster Management Department has approved the installation of compost machines in 14 jails across the state. A total of 17 machines will be procured at a cost of ₹3.35 crore. These compost machines will help in efficiently converting organic waste into compost, preventing environmental harm caused by waste.

Jails To Receive Compost Machines:

• Central Jail, Hazaribagh

• Central Jail, Deoghar

• Central Jail, Giridih

• Central Jail, Palamu

• District Jail, Chas

• District Jail, Dhanbad

• District Jail, Garhwa

• District Jail, Godda

• District Jail, Koderma

• Sub-Jail, Barhi

• Sub-Jail, Ramgarh

• Sub-Jail, Tenughat

• Open Jail, Hazaribagh

Compost machines are designed to rapidly decompose organic waste, converting it into nutrient-rich compost. These machines can process various types of waste, ensuring effective waste management and reducing environmental pollution.
