SUBHASH MISHRA

Dhanbad, Feb 14: In an unprecedented move, the  Congress leaders of Dhanbad today broke into Luby Circular road-based party office and captured it. It had been sealed by the order of the Jharkhand High Court.

As health minister Banna Gupta, who is also party in-charge of the Dhanbad district, arrived at the circuit house to hold a meeting, some senior leaders along with party workers reached Luby Circular road-based office and broke the sealed and entered rooms.
On the directive of the High Court, the Congress office in Dhanbad has been sealed since April 2011 following  a dispute with the District Board. The land belongs to the District Board and  Cong Party  had taken it on lease  for 30 years which expired  several years ago.

The land dispute is still pending in the HC. The Congress workers had been staging dharna for a long time to unlock the seal.
When the health minister was asked about the breaking of the High court sealed office by the Congress workers, he said that he has not read the two-line line order of the High Court over sealing.”  The party has high respect for the order of the Court and would make a proper comment only after reading that,” he said.
Gupta further said in democracy revolution and peace both run simultaneously but the sentiment of people and law should be respected equally.
Congress district committee president Brajendra Pratap Singh said that the order of the High Court would be accepted at any cost. But what happened today he had no information and was collecting the report, he added.

District Board chairman Robin Gorai refused to comment while chief executive officer ( deputy development commissioner) Dasharath Chandra Das said that he was engaged at a meeting with the minister.
