Dhanbad, Sept 8: Congress workers under leadership of district president cum State Disciplinary Committee chairman Brajendra Prasad Singh on Thursday took out a Padayatra from City Centre to Gandhi Seva Sada under ‘Bharat Jodo’ ambitious programme of the party.

Brajendra Prasad Singh said that party on Wednesday launched Padayatra for Bharat jodo from Kanyakumari to Jammu Kashmir. But all states and districts unit across the country have been asked to take out similar Padayatra in their respective area where Padayatra of Rahul Gandhi would not cross . So Dhanbad district today took out ‘Padayatra‘ with slogan of ‘Mahgai Se Nata Todo Aur Milkar Bharat Jodo’.

Singh said that Bharat Jodo Padayatra keeps significance in present situation as negative politics is being done across the country to divert the attention of people from real burning issues like increasing price of essential commodities and employment.

“Main mission of Congress’s Padayatra is to check the attempt of dividing people on religious line. If nefarious design is not checked timely it would prove dangerous for the unity of the country. Congress Party has always stood in the interest of the country and would do same in the future. It is high time to ‘Jodo Bharat’ campaign so that feeling of brotherhood continues in the country,” he said.

District working president Ravindra Verma, Madan Mahto, Shamsher Alam, Yogendra Singh Yogi, Rajendra Singh Yadav, Navneet Neeraj, Mantu Das like several senior leaders participated in Bharat Jodo Padayatra.
