Dhanbad, March 22: The Deoghar district Congress has blamed BJP Godda MP Nishikant Dubey for the delay in the operation of Deoghar airport.

Congress Deoghar district president Munnam Sanjay has said that the Deoghar airport is ready to take off planes but no inauguration date has been fixed so far. It shows the indifferent approach of the central government towards starting operation at the Deoghar airport.

Deoghar district falls under the Godda Lok Sabha constituency.

“It is ironic that Godda MP Nishikant Dubey always accused the Jharkhand government for delay and non -cooperation in the completion of the airport for his publicity in newspapers. But when all has been completed and the airport is waiting for the inauguration, he is hiding in Delhi,” said Munnan Sanjay.

The Congress district president claimed that as per the promise, the Jharkhand government has arranged land, road, power, water and security cover for the airport. Despite all this, its delay in the inauguration is the failure of the central government and has exposed Nishikant Dubey’s big claim.

“Since the airport is an ambitious project of  Baba Baidyanath Dham, it should be inaugurated immediately otherwise people of Deoghar would be forced to launch an agitation,” said Munnam Sanjay.

The Congress leader also demanded that the airport should be named only in the name of Baba Baidyanath. People of Deoghar would not accept any other name of the central government.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey could not be available for his comment on charges of the Congress leader over delay in inauguration of the Deoghar airport.
