Chennai, May 30: Former Union Minister P Chidambaram filed his nomination on Monday as the Congress candidate from Tamil Nadu for the biennial election to the Rajya Sabha.

The Congress announced ten candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections on June 10 on Sunday.
Apart from P Chidambaram, the list also includes Jairam Ramesh and Ajay Maken, as well as Randeep Surjewala, the party’s chief spokesperson.
Vivek Tankha from Madhya Pradesh, Rajeev Shukla and Ranjeet Ranjan from Chhattisgarh, Imran Pratapgarhi from Maharashtra, and Mukul Wasnik and Pramod Tiwari from Rajasthan will all run for the Congress party.
Notably, P Chidambaram has served four times as the Union Minister of Finance. He is now a member of the Rajya Sabha and will run for re-election in the Rajya Sabha elections on June 10.
