Ramgarh, March 15: Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and submitted a memorandum seeking permission for the Mangla Navami, Dashami and Ekadashi processions of Ram Navami in Hazaribagh.

The MLA while drawing the attention of the chief minister said that Ram Navami of Hazaribagh has a lot of historical and international fame. It has a different identity in the world.

She said that following the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram, the residents of Hazaribagh have been celebrating the great festival of Ram Navami with pomp and harmony for more than 100 years. It is settled in Rag and to see this festival, tourists come from abroad including other states of the country.

Immediately after Holi, worship and procession are organized traditionally every Tuesday and the grand celebration of Ram Navami also provides direct and indirect employment opportunities to the local people.

She said that keeping in mind the sentiments of the devotees of Lord Ram, there has been a demand to remove the ban imposed on the procession and allow the procession.
