Ranchi: Congress MLA Irfan Ansari’s troubles are set to deepen, as an FIR has been registered against him at the Jamtara police station (case number 208/24). The complaint is linked to his controversial remarks against BJP candidate Sita Soren from Jamtara. The case has been registered for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has also stepped in, asking the state’s Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), Home Secretary, and the Superintendent of Police (SP) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jamtara to investigate the matter and submit a report within three days. The commission warned that if no response is received within this timeframe, a summons may be issued for personal or representative appearance before the commission.
