Ranchi: A fresh internal rift has surfaced within the Jharkhand Congress as five party legislators returned from Delhi and openly accused state ministers of failing to perform their duties, intensifying pressure on the party leadership.

Ministers Must Be Accountable, Says Rajesh Kachhap

Congress Legislature Party deputy leader Rajesh Kachhap said the four Congress ministers are not working in the manner expected of them. He asserted that ministers must remember they are party MLAs first and do not enjoy any special status beyond their responsibilities. According to him, accountability and performance are essential, and shortcomings will not be ignored.

Congress MLA Suresh Baitha stated that ministers need to understand that leadership potential exists among other MLAs as well, not just those currently holding ministerial posts. He added that the central leadership listened carefully to their concerns during the Delhi meeting and took the issues raised by the legislators seriously.
