Corona can be avoided only through booster dose: Ranchi University VC

Ranchi, Aug 26: The ‘Covid-19 Booster Dose Awareness’ campaign was launched by the Vice Chancellor Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha from the Volleyball Ground of Ranchi University on Friday under the joint aegis of NSS Unit of Ranchi University and UNICEF, Jharkhand.

The booster dose campaign began on July 15 and will continue till September 30, 2022, under the ‘Teekakaran ka Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Vice Chancellor Dr Sinha while addressing the volunteers of NSS said that corona can be defeated through the booster dose. “SS volunteers will organise awareness campaigns and try to make everyone aware of it.” He further appealed to run an awareness campaign for booster doses among all the students studying at Ranchi University.

The awareness rally was flagged off by the Vice Chancellor. The rally left from the RU campus via Albert Ekka Chowk, Shaheed Chowk, Jaipal Singh Stadium, Collectorate, Kachari Chowk and culminated in the RU campus.

 

During the rally, NSS volunteers were shouting slogans like ‘Corona ko Harana Hai – Sabhi Ko Booster Dose Lagana Hai’. The students also put up stickers regarding the booster dose in rickshaws, auto rickshaws, buses and public places.

The programme was also addressed by Dr Brajesh Kumar, Program Coordinator, NSS; Dr Smriti Singh, Deputy Director, Vocational Courses; and Dr Priyanka Singh, Consultant, UNICEF.
