Ramgarh, Jan 9: The state secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Mahendra Pathak has issued a press statement saying that the state government has put the burden of inflation on the people of the state by increasing the fees in many judicial issues including court fees, and stamp duty.

The notice further stated that lawyers in all the districts of the state are protesting against the increase in court fee stamp duty, and the CPI supports their movement.

“The people of the state are in the grip of extreme inflation, the prices of all essential commodities are skyrocketing in the country.  Due to the anti-people policies of the Central Government, the burden of inflation is being passed on to the people,” the statement claimed.

The release further claimed that the state government is also wreaking havoc on the people of the state by increasing the court fees for judicial matters. The stamp of ? 5 has been priced at ? 20 i.e. it has been increased by 4 times, the Pathak said in the statement.

He further urged that the state government take back the decision of an increase in fees for judicial matters. He promised that the CPI will also work with them in the fight for the public interest and that it was in support of the movement led by the lawyers.
