Ranchi, Sept 12: The CPI (ML) has accused Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais for deliberately creating political instability in Jharkhand by maintaining silence over the disqualification issue of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The party said that even after making desperate attempts to destabilize the Hemant Soren government, the BJP will have to eat a humble pie like in Bihar.
“Even after three weeks, the Governor has not disclosed the ECI recommendation and the BJP is hell-bent on destabilizing the government. But like Bihar, Jharkhand will also foil the BJP design,” said Dipankar Bhattacharya, national general secretary of CPI (ML).
Bhattacharya said this after meeting Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi along with party MLA Binod Kumar Singh and senior party leader Manoj Bhakta.
Their meeting lasted for half an hour during which they discussed the political scenario of Jharkhand.
“Jharkhand is passing through uncertainty that the BJP has created for political gains. The BJP made certain allegations against the chief minister and took up the matter to the Governor who in turn referred this matter to the Election Commission of India. All of us know that the ECI sent its opinion to the Governor about two weeks back but the Governor is sitting over the report. The BJP is doing this for the purpose of creating disturbance for the government,” said Binod Kumar Singh. The CPI has a single MLA in Jharkhand assembly.
