Ramgarh, June 4: A case of cheating of money involving a retired CCL employee has come to the fore in Ramgarh district.
Motilal Bedia, a resident of Nimmi in the Bhadaninagar OP area and a victim of fraud, has filed a complaint at Bhadaninagar OP seeking justice.
Motilal retired from CCL in 2012. While he was working, Santosh Turi, a resident of Lapanga Colony Shiv Mandir Chordhara, Surendra Nayak of Chordhara and Prithvi Turi, a resident of Jawahar Nagar used to visit his house.
“On retirement, I received Rs 17.5 lakhs from the company. At that time these three persons asked me to give my money saying they will get it fixed in SBI and it will double in 10 years.”
Motilal fell prey to their promises and gave the money to them. When he went to ask for money after 10 years, they said that the money has been lost as they had deposited it in some other fund.
All three persons took the responsibility for the lost money and assured Motilal that they will return the full amount to him.
Motilal said that an agreement was made in which it was said that the three will pay the money in installments.
“But now they are not giving my money back. They are also threatening me with dire consequences if I ask for it,” said Motilal.
On Friday, when he went to Turi’s house to ask for money, his wife said that if he asks for money, she will file a rape case against Motilal.
Motilal said,” I need that money to get my daughter married.”
Bhadaninagar OP in-charge Sonu Kumar said that appropriate action will be taken after the investigation of the matter is completed.
