Ranchi, Nov 16: Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested three people, including a CRPF jawan, who provided arms and bullets to the CPI-Maoist organization and criminal gang.  The traitors include Avinash Kumar, Rishi Kumar and Pankaj Kumar Singh, a CRPF jawan from Bihar.  450 rounds of bullets have also been recovered from them.

In the interrogation conducted by the ATS, it has come to the fore that a large number of AK-47 and INSAS rifle cartridges have been provided to the CPI-Maoist organization by these criminals.  Different criminal gangs, including the Aman Sahu gang, have also been provided with arms and ammunition by them.

Interestingly, the arrested accused Avinash Kumar was posted as a constable in 182 battalion of CRPF in Pulwama and was absent for the last 4 months. Earlier,  he was posted in 112 Battalion CRPF in Latehar and 204 Battalion Cobra in Jagdalpur. He was in contact with criminals Aman Sahu, Harendra Yadav and Lallu Khan.  Currently, Harendra Yadav and Lallu Khan are lodged in Sherghati and Gaya jails.

While arrested criminal Rishi Kumar Hatia used to do the work of transportation in Ranchi and construction of building in Airport Road and arrested criminal Pankaj Kumar Singh was doing business of coal and land.  Sanjay Singh was in contact with arms and ammunition dealers from Jharkhand and Bihar, as well as Assam and Nagaland, and through them he provided arms and bullets to the arrested accused Rishi along with other persons.

During the interrogation of the arrested criminals,  ATS has got a lot of important information about many other sources of arms, bullets, and the criminals involved in this illegal act. A special team has been constituted by the ATS to take action against the gang providing arms cartridges to the CPI-Maoist organization and other extremist and criminal gangs, Which is being headed by a DSP rank officer.
