Mumbai, Oct 7:  Arbaz Seth Merchant, an accused in the cruise ship raid case on Thursday filed a bail plea at Mumbai’s Esplanade Court. Along with the bail plea, his lawyer has also filed an application seeking CCTV footage of the cruise ship to check if NCB recovered something from Arbaz or it was planted on him.

On the other hand, the NCB custody of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan ends today. Apart from Aryan, the custody of 7 other accused arrested on Sunday is also ending today. It is believed that NCB may seek their further custody. However, Aryan’s lawyer can file his bail petition.

Meanwhile, last night, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested a foreigner who is accused of supplying drugs to those arrested from the cruise.

Notably, NCB has so far arrested 17 people in this case. Out of these, 8 people are in the custody of NCB till October 7 and other 8 accused till October 11. Apart from Aryan, the custody of his friends Arbaaz Merchant, Vikrant Chhokar, Gomit Chopra, Ishmeet Singh Chaddha, Mohak Jaiswal, Munmun Dhamicha and Nupur Satija will also end today. In this case, the authorities have allegedly seized several drugs like cocaine, mephedrone, charas, hydroponic and MDMA and Rs 1.33 lakh cash.
