“It has also been made clear through the NTA’s public notice that this year the CUET 2022 exam will take place in the first and second week of July. However, no specific date has been announced yet. The first slot of the exam will be of 3.15 hours (195 minutes) and the second will be a tad longer of 3.45 hours (225 minutes). From the information known till now, both the slots of the entrance test will take place on the same day,” said educators at Study Planet.
“The CUET exam will be a LAN based CBT (Computer Based Test) and all questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). The candidate can attempt the exam in any one of 13 languages, namely English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.”
Educator Sujit Acharya of the Acharya Academy said, “I am yet to receive any queries from students, however I’d advise all students attempting the exams to be prepared. The test will have four sections comprising Section IA – 13 Languages, Section IB – 20 Languages, Section II – 27 Domain specific Subjects and Section III – General Test.
“All questions in various testing areas will be benchmarked at the level of Class XII only. Students having studied Class XII Board syllabus would be able to do well in CUET (UG) – 2022,” Acharya continued.
“Generally the languages/subjects chosen should be the ones that a student has opted for in their latest Class XII Board examination. However, if any University permits any flexibility in this regard, the same can be exercised under CUET (UG) -2022 also. Candidates must carefully refer to the eligibility requirements of various Central Universities in this regard,” he added.
The educator further continued, “Moreover, if the subject to be studied in the Undergraduate course is not available in the list of 27 Domain Specific Subjects being offered, the candidate may choose the Subject closest to his/her choice for example for Biochemistry the candidate may choose Biology. The schedule of the exam will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts, depending on the number of candidates and languages or tests taken by them.”
