Ranchi, April 24: Department of Economics and Development Studies (DEDS) of Central University of Jharkhand, in collaboration with IKP-PRIME today organised a workshop on Awareness of Intellectual Property at the Brambe Campus.
The chief speakers for the workshop were IKP-PRIME Principal Advisor and legal and contract manager respectively Bandhana Katoch and Harshada Wadakar Mukherjee.
Both the speakers enlightened the audience about the concept of intellectual property, its types, patent filing process, and innovative and legal aspects of intellectual property. They highlighted the important aspects of how patents are filed in India and the differences in the filing process with other countries.
IKP-PRIME is a regional technology transfer office funded by the World Bank supported by NBM, BIRAC. Around 200 students, Research Scholars of various disciplines such as Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering, Management, and Sciences participated along with faculty members of the University.
