Ranchi, April 27: The Department of International Relations, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, is organising a two-day National Seminar on ‘India’s Freedom Movement and Untold Stories of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ on April 28-29–2022, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. The topic of the seminar is important to how the Andaman and Nicobar Islands play a detrimental role in the nationalist transformation of public space.
The event is to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive independence in India and the glorious history of its people, the culture and achievements department of international relations is organising this seminar.
The Department of International Relations, School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Central University of Jharkhand, is going to bring together top academicians, research scholars and professors who are going to put forward views on this particular topic, such as Battle of Aberdeen: The Untold Story of Andamanese, Post-colonial Migration in the Context of Nationalistic Imagination in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Biswas, Convener of the Seminar said that scholars from all over India are going to participate in the meet. The Inaugural Session will be presided over by Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jharkhand and Prof. Raj Kumar Kothari, Professor, Department of Political Science Diamond Harbour Womens’ University, West Bengal, will deliver the keynote address and Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta Head & Dean, Department of International Relations, SHSS, CUJ will deliver the welcome address.
