CWG 2022: Badminton player Lakshya Sen clinches 20th gold for India

New Delhi, Aug 8: Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen beats NG Tze Yong of Malaysia 19-21 21-9 21-16 to win Men’s Singles gold on Monday. With this victory, India records its 20th Gold in the Commonwealth Games.

Earlier in the day, Sindhu beat Canada’s Michelle Li in the women’s singles final to win gold medal. The final for the men’s doubles badminton team of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy is currently underway as well. The gold medal game between the men’s hockey team and Australia will take place in the evening. Achanta Sharath Kamal will compete in the men’s singles final of table tennis while pursuing the pinnacle of success.
