New Delhi, Aug 8:  Indian shuttler, double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has won her first gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games after defeating Canada’s Michelle Li in the women’s singles final on Monday.

Later on, Lakshya Sen would also be aiming for a gold medal in the men’s singles badminton competition. The final will also include the men’s doubles team of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy. The gold medal game between the men’s hockey team and Australia will take place later in the evening. Achanta Sharath Kamal, who plays in the men’s singles final of table tennis, will also strive for the greatest honour.
