Ramgarh, June 4: The morale of cybercriminals in Hazaribagh district has risen to the point where they created a fake WhatsApp ID for DC Nancy Sahay.
Not only that, but they are demanding money in the name of free and populist gifts using this fake ID.
When the DC received the information, she took note of it and made a complaint to SP Manoj Ratan Chothe about the situation.
Taking the matter seriously, SP Manoj Ratan Chothe has ordered an investigation into the allegation. The number of the fake WhatsApp IDs is 8250128869. The cybercriminals have contacted the officials or other persons using this number.
The District Deputy Commissioner has also issued an advisory to the public in this regard.
She said,” If anyone contacts with this WhatsApp number, any other number and any other unauthorized social media medium, do not fall for it and do not have any kind of conversation. It will put you at financial risks.”
The DDC said that the administration has duly provided the information about the matter to the Hazaribagh SP. The police have also started investigating the matter.
