Cyclist crushed to death by truck in Giridih

Giridih, Sept. 20 : A cyclist was killed in a road accident today during the early hours. The crash happened in the Muffasil police station area near the Sadar Block Office where an uncontrolled truck trampled the cycle and the person riding it died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as a student named Ujjwal, son of Deori resident Vyas Singh.

Ujjwal lived in a rented house near Sadar Block Office. He was going to Burganda for his tuition in the morning when he got trapped under the giant tyres of the truck and succumbed to death. After the accident, a large number of people gathered there and called the police.

According to sources, the truck was going to Deoghar after loading wheat from Bargi. It is said to be registered in the Giridih district only. After getting the information about the fateful event, Sadar SDPO Anil Singh, Sadar CO Ravi Bhusan Prasad and city police station In-charge Ramnarayan reached the spot. They enquired about the entire incident. Police have taken the body into possession and are investigating the matter.
