Jamshedpur, Aug 22: A cyclonic circulation hovering over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height is expected to trigger heavy rain in isolated areas of Jharkhand from tomorrow.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of heavy rain at isolated places over North-west and northeastern parts of the state on August 23.

Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places over the north-east and adjoining Central parts of the state on August 24.

Heavy rain forecast is also issued for isolated places over Northeastern parts of the state on August 25.

The monsoon activity was weak over the state in the past 24 hours.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Kota, Guna, Sidhi, Dehri, Balurghat and thence eastwards to Nagaland and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Light rain was observed at isolated places over the state during the past 24 hours.
