New Delhi, Sept 6: The untimely demise of former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole were due to “severe head trauma and multiple external and internal injuries to vital organs”, their autopsies found.
Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole’s bodies were taken from the Kasa Sub-District Hospital in Palghar at approximately midnight on Monday, and the post-mortem was performed at the government-run JJ Hospital.
An autopsy on Mistry found serious head injuries that caused a hemorrhage (heavy bleeding), multiple fractures in the neck, thigh, head, and chest. According to medical professionals at JJ Hospital, these injuries happen when the body experiences a significant jolt, such as when a car decelerates suddenly from 100 to zero.
A doctor said the Cyrus and Jehangir suffered multiple trauma and had injuries in the head, chest, and limbs and hese injuries can cause instant death.
The samples of viscera will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Kalina, according to JJ officials. A viscera analysis is performed to look for, among other things, residues of poison, alcohol, and chemicals. According to sources, samples have also been saved for DNA analysis.
After the vehicle accident on Sunday on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, Cyrus Mistry and Jehangir Pandole, who were sitting in the back seat of a Mercedes SUV, passed away practically instantly.
