Daltonganj, Nov 6: The admissions for the batch of 2022-23 in the Medinirai Medical College at Pokhraha in Daltonganj have been completed for the first round of counselling. Of the 100 seats assigned to the college by the National Medical Commission (NMC), 82 are state quota seats, 15 are All India quota seats while one is for a student from a primitive tribe and two are for the Central Nominees.

As per officials, several admissions have been approved in the first round of the admissions under NEET counselling. Of the 82 state quota seats, 70 seats have already been filled for the session of 2022-23. Earlier three out of the 15 All India quota seats for the First Professional MBBS admissions for the course have been done.

Meanwhile, the one seat for students of the primitive tribe and the two seats for the Central Nominee is still vacant.

Senior faculty Dr Atul Prakash said, “So far 73 seats out of the 100 have been filled for the session of 2022-23. However, we still have NEET’s second round, mop-up round and stray round to look up to. We are confident that all 100 seats will be filled in times to come.”
