Daltonganj, Dec 31: Thermal screening will start in the first week of 2023 in bus stands, railway station in Daltonganj. Instructions to this effect have been given to the district programme manager Deepak Kumar Gupta by the deputy development commissioner cum nodal officer of health Ravi Anand today.

Anand directed Gupta to ensure thermal screening at the bus stand and at the railway station without fail.

Speaking to lagatar24.com Ravi Anand said health officials have been asked to make people understand how important it is now to wear a face mask.

The district programme manager Deepak Kumar Gupta said he has begun to mobilise human resources and lab technicians from today for the start of the thermal screening.

Ravi Anand later said he would have a list of entry points to the town, community health officials, health and wellness centres etc vis Covid care centre etc before a meticulous work plan is readied.

The nodal officer for health took note of power supply hiccups in the Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha in Daltonganj where erratic power supply disrupts the testing of swabs to the Covid as erratic power supply discontinues the sequence of testing as a result swab is discarded and with it gets wasted costlier consumables.
