Ranchi, Dec.1: The State BJP today said that JPSC Chairman Amitabh Chaudhary, who earlier held the post of the president of Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), did not give place to BJP state president Deepak Prakash in the JSCA after the latter became vocal on the allegation of Rs 196 crore scam in the construction of the cricket stadium.
The Congress yesterday said that BJP state chief Deepak Prakash has launched an attack on JPSC Chairman Amitabh Chaudhary for personal reasons.
BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo informed this in a press conference organised at the BJP state headquarters in response to the official statement of two senior Congress party leaders alleging BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash of settling his personnel score with Choudhary by misleading civil servant aspirants as the latter did not get a place in the JSCA.
Informing about the JSCA scam allegedly done by Choudhary, Shahdeo warned the Congress to clear its stand on the issue of the JPSC instead of levelling false allegations against the BJP state president.
“Congress should clarify whether it is against the civil service aspirants assaulted by state police while agitating against irregularities in the JPSC examination or rescuing the JPSC chairman? The party should be clear whether it is promoting corruption,” Shahdeo said.
Shahdeo sought information on the candidates qualifying serially from a particular room of a particular centre, disqualification of candidates scoring more than PT qualified candidates, delay in the publication of cut-off marks.
“BJP has agitated and will be agitating in the interest of lakhs of civil service aspirants of the state,” Shahdeo asserted while seeking information and rubbishing allegations of its BJP’s state president.
Yesterday, senior Congress party leader Alok Dubey and Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo had come to the rescue of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) chairman Amitabh Choudhary, who is in the line of fire of civil service aspirants and main opposition party of the state, BJP, for alleged irregularities in holding the 7th to 10th JPSC preliminary tests.
They were of the opinion that the reason behind the negative comments of BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash against JPSC chairman Amitabh Choundary was an attempt to settle personal scores as in the JSCA annual general meeting held on August 20, 2017, Deepak Prakash had been shown the door. The party had demanded the arrest of the BJP leaders named in the FIR registered for creating a law and order problem in the Jharkhand capital by misleading students.
