New Delhi, Dec 7: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has reached the halfway point in the counting of ballots in 250 wards for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections in the most recent trends on Wednesday, suggesting that the exit polls that anticipated the party’s advantage were accurate.
The AAP has surpassed the halfway point with a lead of 102 seats (plus 25 wins), according to the Election Commission’s most recent figures as of 11 a.m. The BJP is now in the lead in 83 wards (plus 26 wins).
According to the trends at 11 am, Congress is leading in 8, and independents are in 2.
In accordance with the results thus far released by the EC, the BJP candidates have triumphed in 26 wards, the AAP in 25, and the Congress in 3. A single independent has been crowned the victor.
However, it all comes down to December 7, when the results of the election will be made public. This was a high-decibel struggle that was conducted in the election campaign before to the voting on December 4. Both the BJP and the AAP made claims and denials of winning the elections.
