New Delhi, August 27: In advance of the G20 summit on September 9-10, pro-Khalistan graffiti was discovered on the walls of various metro stations throughout Delhi, police said on Sunday.

Several metro stations in West Delhi, including Punjabi Bagh, Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar and Maharaja Surajmal Stadium, have slogans like “Delhi Banega Khalistan” and “Khalistan Referendum Zindabad” spray-painted on their walls.

The banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) activists were allegedly present in numerous metro stations, including Shivaji Park and Punjabi Bagh, where they scrawled pro-Khalistan slogans.

Anti-India graffiti was also discovered on a wall of the Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Nangloi.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has been stationed at various sites and is currently aggressively investigating the situation.

The DCP (metro) claims that all of the graffiti that has been written on the walls of the metro stations has been taken off.

To identify the offenders and apprehend them as soon as possible, the CCTV footage is being searched.

Separately, footage of pro-Khalistan graffiti being painted on the walls of multiple Delhi metro stations was made public by the proscribed Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), police stated.

While the G20 conference will be taking place in Delhi, a ‘Khalistan referendum’ will be held in Surrey, Canada on September 10, SFJ’s leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said in the video.
