Ranchi, Oct.21: The Delhi Police Commissioner granted permission to organize a dharna to followers of Sarna at Jantar Mantar on November 12 under their Rashtriya Adivasi Samaj Dharma Raksha Abhiyan.
A tribal leader and educationist Karma Oraon informed this that the permission was granted today on the request of a three-member delegation of the president of Kendriya Sarna Samiti (KSS) Narayan Oraon, president of Tribal Students Union (TSU) Sangam Oraon and TSU treasurer Anoop Toppo to the police commissioner.
The dharna will be organized to include the Sarna religion code in the census form. Preparations are going on for the programme. Complete arrangement for accommodation and food for the participants of the programme is being made. Participants are expected to come from different parts of the country.
