Ranchi, July 17: Delhi Public School Ranchi, one of the premier educational institutions in the state, celebrated its 34th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur today at Vivekananda Auditorium marking another milestone in the school’s illustrious journey. The students, staff and parents were filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavours of Ranchi Dipsites who had rehearsed voraciously for this occasion.
The magnificence of the day became more profound by Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India and Ajay Kumar Singh, Director General of Police, Jharkhand as the revered guests. The principals of eminent schools of Ranchi and other dignitaries of the city were also present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with a melodious musical rendition by the talented vocalists and instrumentalists of DPS Ranchi.
The festivities continued with a vibrant cultural extravaganza featuring a range of performances by the school’s talented students. The audience was treated to a captivating dance drama titled “Chanakaya – Neeti Darpan” which encompassed enthralling dance routines, melodious musicals, and engaging theatrical and martial arts. The play, through the character of Chanakaya, imparted important life lessons given by the great Kautilya which are relevant till date. Another presentation was a unique theme-based show which highlighted relevant social and environmental issues through thoughtful costumes and ramp walk. The awe-inspiring performances left the attendees mesmerized and reinforced the school’s reputation for nurturing creativity and artistic expression.
It is worth mentioning here that, on this auspicious day, 25 students were felicitated by the guests for their meritorious performance and academic excellence. Out of 25 students, 14 were bestowed with Blue Blazers as they secured more than 90% in all the subjects for 03 consecutive years. 10 students received Blue Tie as they bagged more than 90% in all the subjects for 04 consecutive years. 1student bagged 2nd Blue Blazer for securing more than 90% for 06 consecutive years.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Ram Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests for taking out time from their busy schedule to be a part of the celebration. He apprised the house with school’s unflinching efforts to cater to the holistic development of a child’s personality. He also presented a brief report on the notable achievements of students in academics and co-curricular events who have brought glory to the school. He reiterated the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and providing a nurturing environment that empowers students to achieve their full potential and make a positive impact on the society.
Addressing the students, Sanjay Kumar said that he was exhilarated to see the beautiful blend of the various art forms. He congratulated DPS Ranchi for being the trailblazer which has achieved many educational feats not only in the state but also on national and international canvas. He commended the institution’s efforts in instilling values and skills that prepare students for the challenges of modern world. He also applauded the relentless efforts and unwavering dedication of the educators in shaping the minds of the future generation. He further motivated the students to become compassionate global citizens and serve the community with honesty and dedication.
The DGP also motivated the students through his words of wisdom and lauded the school’s endeavours in providing quality education and fostering an environment conducive to overall development of the young learners.
