New Delhi, April 12: After an email bomb threat, students at a school in Delhi were evacuated on Wednesday.
The Indian Public School in Sadiq Nagar received an email this morning, the Delhi Police said, saying that a bomb was kept on the school’s grounds.
The police officials said, “The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received a bomb threat via email. As a precautionary measure, the school has been vacated. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad informed”.
Further details on the matter are awaited.
Earlier in November, the Delhi Police reported that a bomb threat was received on the Indian Public School’s official email account, which is under the control of the Defence Colony police station and located on the Sadiq Nagar, BRT road.
The local police were contacted right away by the school administration. Soon after, members of the bomb squad, the dog squad, and the Delhi Police arrived on the scene. A comprehensive check was conducted after the school was evacuated, but no device was discovered.
