New Delhi: The national capital woke up to biting cold and dense fog on Friday as temperatures dipped to 7°C, marking a severe cold wave, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Residents across Delhi huddled in night shelters, particularly in areas like Yamuna Bazar and New Delhi Railway Station, to escape the chilling conditions.
Severe Air Quality Worsens Winter Blues
Delhi’s air quality remained hazardous, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) touching 434 by 8 am, categorized as ‘severe’ by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
