New Delhi, Nov 16: Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, with the air quality index (AQI) being recorded at 396.
According to the data from the Central Pollution Control Board, the average AQI of Delhi stood at 396 in the morning at 10 am, while air quality index in neighboring cities stood as follows -Ghaziabad (349), Greater Noida (359), Gurgaon (363) and Noida (382).
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) has predicted an improvement in the air quality on November 17 as ‘wind at transport level are forecast to be blowing from east direction and slowing down’.
As per SAFAR’s prediction, the AQI in the national capital is expected to be in the very poor category range for the next three days.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature at national capital was recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. The relative humidity stood at 88 per cent at 8.30 am.
