Descendant of Birsa Munda to inaugurate weeklong Aadi Mahotsav in New Delhi

Ranchi, Nov.16: Descendant of Birsa Munda, Sukhram Munda, today took off for New Delhi to inaugurate weeklong Aadi Mahotsav being organised by the union tribal affairs ministry.

 

As Munda reached Birsa Munda Airport accompanied by his two sons on the invitation of union tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda in the morning to take flight, officials of TRIFED, airport, and Vistara welcomed him.

 

The fair is being organised after the union government gave Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas status to the birthday of Birsa Munda this year.

 

Those who are expected to remain present during the inauguration include cabinet minister Arjun Munda, minister of state Renuka Singh and Visheshwar Tudu besides social workers of Khunti including Jagannath Munda, Bhim Singh Munda, Chote Rai Munda and Sanjay Munda.
