New Delhi: Severe cold wave conditions and dense fog across several parts of North India have significantly reduced visibility, leading to disruptions in flight operations. Anticipating delays and possible rescheduling, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a travel advisory for air passengers.

Fog And Low Visibility Impact Flight Operations

With visibility dropping sharply due to dense fog, several flights are likely to be delayed. Airports in North India are witnessing operational challenges as aircraft movements are affected by low-visibility conditions, especially during early morning and late-night hours.

AAI Advises Passengers To Stay Alert

The Airports Authority of India has urged passengers to check the latest status of their flights before heading to the airport. Travelers have been advised to remain in constant touch with their respective airlines and rely only on official communication channels for updates.

Extra Time Recommended For Airport Procedures

AAI has recommended that passengers reach airports well in advance of their scheduled departure times. Due to weather-related disruptions, check-in and security procedures may take longer than usual, and additional buffer time can help avoid inconvenience.

Special Passenger Assistance Arrangements In Place

In view of the foggy conditions, AAI has deployed additional ground staff and help teams at affected airports to assist passengers. These measures aim to ensure smooth operations and provide timely support to travelers during adverse weather conditions.

Safety Remains Top Priority, Says AAI

The Airports Authority of India reassured passengers that safety remains its highest priority. Despite challenging weather conditions, efforts are being made to maintain secure, efficient, and passenger-friendly airport operations.
