Ranchi, Nov 23: The Jharkhand High Court today continued the decision of staying coercive action against nine including BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari, and the Deoghar Airport Director in the matter of using force to take flight clearance from ATC at the Deoghar airport.

The development took place in the court of Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi after the state government sought time for argument in the matter.

The court, continuing to stay the coercive action, fixed the date of March 6, 2023, for the next hearing in the matter.

The matter reached the high court after Jharkhand Police registered an FIR against 9 people, including BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari, in connection with the security lapse at Deoghar airport security on August 31. It was alleged that they forcibly entered the ATC of the airport and used their influence to get flight clearance though there is no night landing facility at the airport.
