Deoghar: Babadham’s ex-manager under scanner for fund use

Deoghar, Sept 26: The Deoghar district administration has issued notice to Ramesh Parihast, the ex-manager of Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple. Parihast has been charged with not submitting the receipts/bills of the work done by him for the temple during 20-21 Navaratri Pooja for which he had taken Rs 10 lakh in advance.

Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri has asked the ex-manager to submit all the bills within three days.

A letter has been issued by Sunil Kumar, the Devipur CO cum chief manager of the temple to Ramesh Parihast in this regard.

SDM cum officer in charge of the temple Abhijit Sinha said that every temple employee has been required to submit all the bills for any advance grants to them. “Transparency will be realised and practised in the affair of temple management,” he added.

Notably, Ramesh Parihast was suspended for misbehaving with MLA Amba Prasad during her visit to Babadham. A video where the duo was seen engaged in verbal squabble went had gone viral. Later, Amba Prasad had raised the issue in Assembly too.
