Deoghar, April 19: The entire operational area of the ropeway on the Trikut mountain in Deoghar will now be monitored by CCTV cameras. In addition to the same-area sealing, eight cameras have been installed in various locations.
The purpose of installing cameras is to capture unlawful movement and planned activity in order to skew the evidence of the ropeway tragedy because the inquiry has yet to begin at the site. Amit Tiwari, the head of Digitek Securities, who has been tasked with the assignment, told lagatar24.com that such systems are being developed so that monitoring can be accessed from Deoghar Collectorate, which is twenty kilometres distant from Trikut Mountain.
However, there are still some technical concerns to be resolved. He stated that the video material will be retrievable for 28 to 30 days given the storage capacity of the devices deployed there.
Jharkhand Tourism Minister Hafizul Hassan has also assured that the matter will be investigated.
On April 16, a team had already covered the entire ropeway area with red tape. The crew was led by Vivek Kishore, the local Mohanpur Block Development Officer, and Prem Pradeep, the in charge of the local police station.
