Deoghar, June 10: The Governor of Jharkhand Ramesh Bais along with his family members visited the Baidyanath Dham Temple on Friday in the early morning and worshipped Lord Shiva.
The Governer had reached Deoghar yesterday evening and stayed at the circuit house. He visited the temple with his family members where arrangements were made for them to offer prayers.
The state priest and others facilitated the governor in offering ‘Jalaparan’ and ‘Jalabhishek’ in the Garbha Grih (sanctum sanctorum).
The Governer later went to the Panda Dharma Rakshani Sabha’s office where he was warmly welcomed and felicitated by Shawl and Rudraksha.
Addressing the media at the temple, he admitted that he went there only by the grace of Lord Shiva otherwise he couldn’t worship till recently.
“I prayed before Lord Shiva for the welfare of the state,” he said to the media.
Afterwards, Governor Bais went to Basukinath too.
Earlier, the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, had also visited the Baba Baidyanath Temple as a Governor before the presidential election and he was given the best wishes by the priest community for the election.
