Deoghar police officer suspended for assaulting bank guard

Ranchi, Jan 5: On the orders of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Santhal Parganas area, Dumka has suspended Station House Officer, Deoghar Ratan Kumar Singh with immediate effect. 

The station in charge is accused of assaulting Kailash Yadav, the armed guard of Punjab National Bank in Deoghar, breaking his mobile and sending the guard to jail. 

It may be known that on January 2, after the station in charge assaulted and abused the guard of the bank, with the help of additional police force, the guard was dragged and locked in custody. The arrest of the guard was not required and without the order of the supervisory officer, the guard was sent to jail.

Following the order of the Chief Minister, after the investigation of the case by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, the station in charge was suspended with immediate effect for dereliction of duty, negligence, indiscipline, insolence, acting against the rules and law and criminal act.
