Deoghar, May 8: With the increasing number of cases of road accidents in the district, the Deoghar police administration is going to introduce a high technique to capture vehicles that disobey the speed limit.

The Deoghar Traffic Police has decided to use a device that will capture the vehicles running rashly and overspeeding.

Talking to Lagatar24.com  traffic DSP Alok Ranjan said the device is a tripod based which is transportable. He clarified that devices would not be fixed at a point but rather they would be used on different spots where the speed limit has been fixed by the concerned authority on National Highways and State Highways crossing the district randomly.

After capturing the number of vehicles disobeying the speed limit with the help of the device, a challan would be generated and posted to the corresponding address. Three such devices have been provided by the headquarter. These devices are called speed guns.

The basic idea behind introducing the speed gun is to aware people of the hazards of ignoring traffic rules and to diminish the number of road accidents due to rash driving and overlooking the speed limit.
