Deoghar, Dec 29: Following a directive from the Union Health Minister and the state government, the Deoghar health administration conducted a mock drill in health centres located across the District under the supervision of civil surgeon Dr Yugal Kishor Chaudhary with regard to the surge in Covid-19 cases globally.
Through this, the Covid preparedness to deal with was tested. During this, in the presence of the civil surgeon, a team of trained doctors and a team of concerned officials checked the condition of the oxygen plant, isolating and treating Covid-19 patients and availability of beds, etc.
Moreover, rehearsals were also done regarding various preparations and arrangements in view of potential and identified patients in the nearby areas too.
During this, it was known through the mock drill that if a Covid patient is found, how the patient should be isolated from his home or hospital by taking him to the isolation centre for treatment related to Covid and how his treatment should be started.
Detailed information was also given about the precautions to be taken as well as health workers were also informed about sanitising and using proper precautions such as masks, caps, etc.
Furthermore, information was also given about taking samples of sick people, packing them and sending them. The manpower deputed in the Covid team and wards were told about what clothes they would wear, how they would take off the clothes stepwise and how they would be disposed of.
If any case related to an infected patient comes to the fore in the district, then under any circumstances all necessary preparations were made for quick treatment of the infected person, so that there is no need to face any kind of difficulties.
