India can be USD 40 Trillion economy by 2047, says Mukesh Ambani

New Delhi, Dec 29: Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, has predicted that the company will continue to expand like the legendary banyan tree.

On the occasion of the Reliance Family Day Function, he said, “Years will roll. Decades will pass. Reliance will continue to grow bigger and bigger like the proverbial banyan tree. Its branches will spread wider, its roots will go deeper and it will touch the lives of an ever-increasing number of Indians, enriching them, empowering them, nourishing them, and caring for them.”

“But we will forever remember with gratitude our founder who planted the seed of this Vata Vruksh forty-five years ago. In Hindu tradition, Vata Vruksh is noble, it is sacred. Whenever I think of Reliance and the mission for which my father founded it, I believe that there is, similarly, something noble and sacred about that mission,” he added.

Reliance’s goal, according to Mukesh Ambani, is to make India affluent by establishing businesses of the highest calibre and scope, as well as to improve the quality of life for all Indians.

This objective, according to him, is feasible and doable because India is endowed with the strength of a young population, a developed democracy, and recently gained technological might.

Reliance, according to the Chairman, has started a road of thorough self-transformation.

The end of 2022 is when Reliance will have crossed the half-way mark of its Golden Decade. In five years from now, Reliance will complete its fifty years. All of us are proud of what we have achieved so far. But the journey ahead is going to be far more exciting, more rewarding, but also more challenging,” he said.

He also said that 2023 will also be a Year of Renewal and Revitalisation for Reliance Foundation.
