Dhanbad: DPS students to take part in National CBSE Yoga Championship

Dhanbad, Jan 9: A team from Dhanbad Public School (DPS) left for Delhi to participate in the National CBSE Yoga championship to be held at Mount Abu School Rohini Delhi from January 9 to 11. Giving this information, sports teacher Shashikant Pandey said that the DPS team has been qualified to represent East Zone in the national CBSE Yoga championship. First and runners-up CBSE schools teams from East Zone have been selected to participate in the national championship.

Notably, the DPS  team would participate in five events of yoga in the national championship.

Selected students of the team are Under-14 girls- Riya Raut, Rani Pandit, Ananya Agrawal, Andriz Poul. Under-14 boys- Mans, Nikhil Raj, Nayan Dutta, Mayank Kumar, Bhaskar Kumar Mandal,

Under-19 girls Ankita Sharma, Anju Dutta, Dipika, Srishti Kumari and Shatabdi. Under-19 boys Pratik Kumar, Yuvraj, Piyush Agrawal, Anubhav Sharma, Ayush Kumar Pandey.

School principal Sharda Mahajan teacher Pinki Singh, and school management committee president Shambhu Nath Agrawal congratulated the players for their selection from the East Zone team for the state championship and expressed hope that they would perform as per their potential.
