Dhanbad, Jan 19: “Advancement of material manufacturing process will help in producing better quality smart materials at comparatively lower cost,” observed Prof BN Roy, head of the department metallurgical department, BIT Sindri while presiding over the national workshop on the topic of ‘Advance Material Processing and Characterisation’.
Prof Roy, while addressing the workshop, said that development in materials processing and materials characterization have significant components linked to the advanced structure.
“The students of the institution (BITSindri) would be immensely benefited from this workshop being attended by eminent experts of the country,” said Prof Roy.
He said the workshop would prove to be a milestone for students in getting knowledge of industry skill development.
Advance Research Control for Powder Metallurgy (ARCI) Hyderabad scientist Dr Gruraj Telasang, Dr Rajiv Kumar IIT, Dr Mohit Garg of BITS Pilani have addressed the workshop on XRD Analysis, molecular dynamics and metal form so far.
