Dhanbad, Jan 12: Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri has been awarded the top rank in the East Zone in Internshala Annual Ranking 2022. As per the Internshala Annual 2022 report released on Wednesday evening, BIT Sindri of Jharkhand has got first rank in East Zone and 17th in the India ranking.

Notably, a total of 515 engineering colleges in the country had participated in the India ranking while 55 engineering colleges of  East Zone states including Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha and from North East had participated in the ranking competition.

Internshala founder and CEO Sarvesh Agarwal informed Prof Ghanshyam, the chairman of the training and placement cell of BIT Sindri on Wednesday evening.

“It is a proud moment that the institution has got first rank in the east zone and 17th position across the country,” said Dr DK Singh and Prof Ghanshyam.

Internshala is a technology company which equips students with relevant skills and practical exposure to get the best possible start in their careers.

Prof Ghanshyam said Internshala is a learn-and-earn platform which makes students ready as per the requirements of the national and international industry.

“Since technology is changing daily in industry, Internshala moulds the students according to time and demand with developing skills, leadership quality and on-spot decision-making quality,” said Dr Ghanshyam.

Director Dr Singh and training placement cell chairman Dr Ghanshyam said the Internshala platform provides students to learn new–age skills and specialise in industry-oriented programmes that get them ready for a career in their dream profile and to get an internship from great companies to give a kickstart career.

“Our training and skills development programmes have begun yielding results. Five years ago BIT was top rank in Jharkhand. In 2022 we have got the top rank in East Zone and now aiming top place in the country. A 100 per cent placement is also a result of it,” he said.

Internshala’s top ranking in 2022 is another milestone achievement of BIT Sindri of Jharkhand last year in June BIT Sindri had got 2nd rank among engineering colleges across the country in a survey conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in terms of merit. A total of 193 students of BIT got a 5-star rank.
