Dhanbad, Feb 14: The Eco Club of BIT Sindri has set up an ‘I Love BIT’ selfie point on the campus, the first of its kind in an educational institution in the region, to draw the attention of Sindri visitors and township denizens.

The Eco Club vice-president and BIT Sindri third-year student Neha Mahto, while inaugurating the selfie point ‘I Love BIT’, said that the mission and vision of installing this selfie point is to make the institution (BIT) a beautiful and attractive campus.

At the inaugural ceremony, besides Eco Club members (students), BIT director Dr DK Singh, Prof RK Verma, Prof Ghanshyam, Prof BD Yadav, Prof Upendra Prasad and heads of different departments of the institution were present and highly appreciated the step of Eco Club.

“Our dream of ‘Beautiful BIT’ came true. The main objective is to make the campus beautiful. ‘I Love BIT’ selfie point will not only make the campus centre of attraction for outsiders but also create a centre for students and a lovely atmosphere,” said Neha Mahto, the vice president.

The Eco Club president Yogesh Kumar Saw, secretary Vivek Kumar, Rohit Rajak and other members on the occasion informed about the need for a selfie point on the campus to attract students and outsiders.

After the inauguration, not only students and research scholars but also senior faculty members of the institution were seen taking selfies individually as well as in groups.
