“Hemant Soren government did not give proper honour to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha founders and separate statehood movement leaders including late Binod Bihari Mahto. But my government give proper honour and opened a university in the name of Binod Babu,” he said.

Earlier, all four BJP MLAs of districts Raj Sinha, Dhulu Mahto, Aparna Sengupta and Sindri MLA Indrajit Mahto’s wife Tara Devi, district rural president Gynranjan Sinha from assembly constituency assembled at Golf Ground with supporters and reached Randhir Verma Chowk in procession.

All MLSA had tried to showcase their supporters’ strength in the rally and gathered in large numbers. Since Sindri BJP MLA Indrajit Mahto is ill, his wife Tara Devi led the front and reached along with supporters from the constituency.

Raghubar Das along with Mandu MLA Jay Prakash Bhai Patel reached Randhir Verma Chowk directly by car for the gherao of the collectorate. Since the police did not allow them after Randhir Verma Chowk, they began addressing workers there.
