Dhanbad, Dec 21: Three bike-born criminals fired a shot and lobbed a crude bomb on the house of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Dhanbad district Women cell president Chandrawati in Lalpatti basti of Kujama Colliery under the Lodna OP on Tuesday late night. However, no one was injured in the incident.

On getting the information, Lodna police reached the spot and recovered an empty cartridge and a live crude bomb from the spot.

Chandrawati told the police that three criminals, one of them identified as Nusrat, tried to forcibly enter the house at around 2.30 am. When she did not open the door, criminals fired a shot at the door and threw two crude bombs out of which one did not explode.

Empty cartridge found on the spot

Chandrawati immediately informed the Lodna OP about the incident but before the police could reach, the criminals had already escaped.

The RJD president alleged that Nusrat was carrying a pistol in his hand and threatened to kill entire family members if her son Rahul became a witness in the brawl of one Raju Khan.

Today, Chandrawati lodged a written complaint about the incident. When contacted, the Lodna OP officer in-charge said that the incident is being probed and a search is being conducted to arrest the named accused.
